Pricing
Your price, built from your statement.
Interchange passes through at cost. On top of it, we build a program around the transactions you run most, give you tools that cut the cost of the rest, and show you every number next to what you pay today.
How we build your program
Four steps, all from your own numbers
Read your statements
Every fee line, and the card mix underneath: debit or credit, rewards or business, tapped or keyed, small tickets or large.
Find what you run most
Most businesses have one or two kinds of transaction that make up most of their bill. Those are where a lower price matters.
Price those lowest
We price each part of the bill separately (card markups, per-item, PIN debit, monthly) and put the lowest price where your volume is.
Cut the cost of the rest
Expensive charges are usually expensive because of how the card was taken. Our tools fix that at the source.
All the math
What a quote looks like
A sample for a restaurant taking $60,000 a month in cards at 2.90% today. Yours lists your own lines.
| Line on your statement | Today | With Mojo Payments | Why |
|---|---|---|---|
| Interchange & card-brand fees | $1,240 | $1,240 | At cost, the same on both sides |
| Card markups | $236 | $118 | Lowest on debit at the counter, where most of the volume is |
| Transaction & authorization fees | $133 | $67 | Priced for a $45 average sale |
| PIN debit fees | $42 | $16 | Plus the PIN prompt moves debit off credit pricing |
| Non-qualified surcharges | $54 | $0 | Cost-plus has no tiers to fall out of |
| Monthly & PCI fees | $35 | $25 | Each one listed and explained |
| Total each month | $1,740 | $1,466 | $274 a month, $3,288 a year |
Illustrative numbers. Every quote is built from the statements it replaces.
Lower the risk, lower the cost
Tools that cut the cost of everything else
Card networks charge more for payments that look riskier: keyed instead of tapped, business cards without invoice data, debit run as credit. Each tool below removes one of those reasons.
Level 3 for business cards
Invoice line items go with corporate and purchasing card payments, so they qualify for the lower commercial rate.
Learn moreDebit run as debit
A PIN debit prompt at the terminal keeps debit cards from being billed as more expensive credit.
Learn moreTap, not keyed
Card-present terminals at the counter and in the field, so payments aren't keyed at the higher card-not-present rate.
Learn moreCVV and ZIP on keyed payments
When a card has to be keyed, prompts for the CVV and billing ZIP avoid the downgrades that come without them.
Learn moreSecure pay links
Invoices paid on a secure hosted page instead of card numbers read over the phone: less risk, and the line items go along.
Learn moreWatch it keep working
Deposits matched line by line and register diagnostics, so a downgrade or a slow register shows up in days, not on next quarter's statement.

The parts every program shares
- Interchange at cost. Card-network fees pass through exactly, up or down.
- No tiers. No "qualified" and "non-qualified" buckets, so no surcharges for falling out of one.
- Month-to-month. No contract and no cancellation fee.
- Nothing hidden. Every fee in your program is on your quote before you agree to it.
| Question | Flat rate | Tiered | Mojo Payments |
|---|---|---|---|
| How the price is set | One rate for every card | Cards sorted into 3–6 buckets | Wholesale cost, plus a program priced from your statement |
| Can you see what you pay for? | No | No | Yes, every line, today next to ours |
| Debit and small tickets | Overpriced | Usually "qualified" | Priced for what they actually cost |
| Rewards and business cards | Same flat rate | Pushed to "non-qualified" | At cost, with tools like Level 3 to lower it |
| When interchange falls | You keep paying the same | You keep paying the same | Your cost falls with it |

FAQ
Pricing questions
Why don't you publish a rate card?
Because a single rate is what makes most pricing unfair. A café running small debit tickets and a distributor running large business-card invoices have completely different costs. We build each program from the statement it replaces, and show every line of the math.
What does "all the math" mean?
Your quote lists every fee on your current statement next to what it becomes with us, the card mix the numbers are based on, and the total each side. Nothing is summarized into a rate you can't check.
Is interchange really passed through at cost?
Yes. Interchange and card-brand fees are set by the card networks and card-issuing banks, and you pay exactly what they charge. When they change, usually in April and October, the change passes straight through, up or down.
Are there monthly fees?
Some programs include a monthly or PCI fee, and some don't. Whatever is in yours is on the quote, line by line, before you agree to anything. There are no tiered "non-qualified" surcharges and no cancellation fee.
What if you can't beat what I pay now?
Then we tell you. Some businesses already have a good deal, and a quote that shows it is still worth having.
Do you charge for equipment?
If you keep compatible equipment, no. If you need new hardware, we quote it up front to buy outright. No leases.
