POS Gateway

Card-present payments for your POS, without a server in the store.

Your point of sale sends each payment to our cloud, and we drive the card terminal at the register. Nothing to install on a back-office server, nothing to patch, and every call logged where you can see it.

What you get

POS Gateway, at a glance

Your terminals, driven from the cloud

Tap, chip and swipe on the card terminal at each register. The POS gets the result back in seconds.

A key for every register

Each register gets its own key, tied to its terminal and location. Revoke one the moment a register is replaced.

Settings per location

Tips with up to three choices, PIN debit, CVV and ZIP prompts, signatures, and how long results stay on screen.

Every call, logged

Sales, voids, refunds and look-ups by register, with the amount and the answer, in your portal.

Level 3 from the ticket

For business customers, the ticket's line items can go with the payment for the lower commercial rate.

Register diagnostics

When payments feel slow, MojoDiag measures the register, network and terminal, and signs its report for your portal.

How it works

Set up once, then it runs

1

We turn it on

For each location, on its MID and terminals. Billed per location.

2

Make a key per register

In your portal, or your service partner does it. Download a ready-made setup for the register.

3

Your POS takes cards

Through the API or the Mojo Payments CLI, a drop-in for POS systems that call a local program.

A good fit if

Who it's for

  • Your POS runs on registers in the store and today needs a payment service on a local server.
  • You have several locations and want terminal settings and keys managed in one place.
  • A POS dealer supports you: invite them as a service partner and they can set up registers themselves.

FAQ

POS Gateway questions

Which point-of-sale systems work with it?

Any POS that can make HTTPS requests can call the API, and POS systems that call a local payment program can use the Mojo Payments CLI instead. Passport is supported out of the box. Ask us about yours.

What happens if the internet is down?

Card-present payments need a connection to authorize, as they do with any processor. MojoDiag can show whether a slow or dropped payment was the network, the register or the terminal.

How is it priced?

Per location it is turned on at, shown in your portal. Payments themselves are billed at your cost-plus rate.

Can my POS dealer manage it?

Yes. Invite them as a service partner with the Technical support role, and they can make register keys and run diagnostics, without seeing more than you allow.
