Recurring billing
Get paid on schedule, without chasing a card.
Set up a plan once: the amount, how often and for how long. Your customer authorizes it on a secure page with your name on it, and every payment is charged on its date with a receipt.
What you get
Recurring billing, at a glance
Any schedule
Every week, every 2 weeks, monthly, quarterly or yearly. Run until cancelled, or for a set number of payments.
Authorized by your customer
They read the plan's terms and authorize it with their card on their own page. Nothing is charged before they do.
No card data on your side
The card is saved at the processor for that plan only. Neither you nor your staff ever see the number.
Receipts and retries
Each payment emails a receipt. A declined card is tried again on the days you choose, and the customer gets a link to update it.
Customers manage their plan
The same link lets your customer change their card or cancel, after a one-time code sent to their email.
Level 3 on every charge
List what each payment covers, and the lines and PO number go with every charge, so business cards qualify for the lower rate.
How it works
Set up once, then it runs
Create the plan
In your portal or from your own system through the Mojo Payments API: amount, schedule, customer.
Your customer authorizes it
They open the link, check the terms and add their card. No account, no app.
Payments run themselves
Each one is charged on its date and appears in your portal with the deposit it lands in.
A good fit if
Who it's for
- You bill the same amount on a schedule: service contracts, memberships, rentals, subscriptions, deliveries.
- You keep card numbers on file today, in a spreadsheet or a drawer, and would rather never hold one again.
- You lose time to late payments and reminder calls each month.
Recurring billing accepts credit and debit cards. Mojo Payments turns it on for your account.
FAQ
Recurring billing questions
Do my customers need an account?
No. They open the link, read the plan and authorize it with their card. The same link is their page for changing the card or cancelling.
Where is the card stored?
At the processor, as a token saved for that plan only. It isn't shown to you, and it's removed when the plan ends.
What happens when a card is declined?
The customer is emailed a link to update their card, and the payment is tried again on the days you set. If every try is declined, the plan stops and you are told.
Can my customer cancel?
Yes, from their link, after confirming a code sent to their email. You are notified at the address you choose.
Can I create plans from my own software?
Yes. The Mojo Payments API creates, pauses, resumes and cancels plans, and webhooks tell your system about each payment. See the developer page.
What does it cost?
Payments are billed at your cost-plus rate. Any price for the product itself is agreed with you before Mojo Payments turns it on.
